E. Brady Robinson

E. Brady Robinson received her B.F.A. in photography from The Maryland Institute, College of Art, Baltimore, Maryland and M.F.A. in photography from Cranbrook Art Academy. Gregory W. Frux

Brooklyn-based artist Gregory W. Frux paints both urban landscape and wilderness scenes, ranging from Northeastern United States’ forests, to Rocky Mountains, desert California, Alaska, Yukon and Bolivian Andes. He served as artist-in-residence in Glacier, Joshua Tree and Death Valley National Parks and worked as artist aboard ships in Antarctica and Arctic Norway. Frux’s paintings have been exhibited at Lincoln Center, the Cordova Historical Museum, the Salmagundi Club, Brooklyn College and U.S. Embassies. Matthew Daub (www.matthewdaub.com) is a professor of fine art at Kutztown University of Pennsylvania. Stephen Knudsen

Stephen Knudsen has an M.F.A. from Savannah College of Art And Design, where he is currently professor of painting, and has a degree in Biology. He has taught university painting, color and design theory and critical art theory for 19 years. Stephen has published groundbreaking color theory and developed the Knudsen Dual Color Wheel. In 2010, his essay revising the aesthetics of Monroe Beardsley will be published and he will lecture on the topic at the 2010 SECAC conference. Fred B. Adelson

Fred B. Adelson is a professor of art history in the Department of Art at Rowan University, where he has been teaching since 1974. He earned his Ph.D. in Art History from Columbia University, writing his dissertation on Alvan Fisher (1792-1863), the American landscape painter. He has curated several exhibitions and written dozens of articles and museum catalogs on a broad range of topics from Hudson River school landscapes to contemporary shopping bags. From 1997 to 2006, Dr. Adelson was a frequent contributor to the arts section of The New York Times.

Art Director: Vivian Torres

Vivian Torres is the art director of Professional Artist. Prior to this, she was Art Director for Golf Life Orlando magazine. She has served on the UCF Art Alumni Board of Directors since it’s inception two years ago. A full-time freelance graphic designer since 2004, and working in the field for over 14 years, Viv continues to enjoy fulfilling her client’s visual needs. She earned her B.A. in Art from the University of Central Florida in 1995. Her Cuban parents migrated the family from New Jersey to Florida in 1979. A tropical girl at heart, she still resides in Orlando with her husband, and is proudly battling empty-nest syndrome since her son just started college.

An artist and writer, Kim Hall is the Editor of Professional Artist.
